So my fancy with OTT sweet lolita lasted all for about 20 minutes in the grand scheme of things... I remember online window shopping for another OTT sweet dress like my Star Night Theater, but all of AP's dresses started to blur together. Since then, I've sold that dress and I've been enamored with classic and goth styles...like every other lolita. I still like sweet, but not OTT sweet, more toned down sweet. I know I'm super far from being active as a lolita, but I'm trying my best to change that! And I'm incredibly fortunate to have my boyfriend (of 2 years now as of one week ago! Yay us!) support me in my crazy expensive hobbies and endeavors, and so I completely put the blame on him for getting back into lolita... because he went and bought himself the most stunning kodona A&P outfit on Black Friday at the SF Baby Store and I'd be damned if I hadn't wanted a suitable Alice & the Pirates dress to match his dashingness. So I went and got myself one of the dresses I (and the rest of the lolita community) covet, Vampire Requiem in the black colorway. Thank you so much to dear Matsu for selling it to me, she is the sweetest girl ever. ♥ ♥
My boyfriend has short hair that he Gatsbys to hell and back, so we decided to use his BRS Kaito wig with his kodona coordinate since it's just a generic black bishounen wig. We did a make up test before ALA... not because I really needed practice putting make-up on him, more because I couldn't wait to see him in kodona lolololol. And since I really don't have that many pictures of our goth lolita coordinate on Sunday at ALA, I'll post a picture from that make -up test!
Wtf how can a boring accountant look so princely.
So we premiered our couple coordinate on Sunday at ALA since we wanted to take it easy, Sunday being super slow and dead and all. Well, it was a bit less easy for me since my mom wouldn't let me borrow her gorgeous long brown Korean brand wig so I had to style my real hair (...with extensions) D: It took ages and on top of that I was really worried that my hair color wouldn't work for the coordinate since it's still gyaru horizontal two toned colored. Let me know if it works for classic/gothic lolita or not because if it does I can save a buttload on wigs! So without further ado, our first couple coordinate with many more to come!
D: Hair looks messy and there's a stray extension hair on my dress...
Credit to Paul (Sleepy on coscom) for the lovely hall pictures. I played with the colors in the first one since I used it for FB lol, but the second and third are unedited. Fffff dark eye rings, I was so tired (and hungover).
We also did a quick couple shoot with Cabusi of Manual Shoot, and I really love how it came out.
lol my boyfriend WERKING DAT CAMERA and looking prettier than me
And of course, the outfit run down:
My coordinate:
JSK: Alice and the Pirates
Blouse: Chinese brand from YesStyle
Tights (WHICH KEPT BUNCHING ARGHHH sucks being a midget): SockDreams
Bird Cage Headdress: eBay
Shoes: vintage Charles Jourdans
Castor's coordinate:
Blouse: Alice and the Pirates
Vest: Alice and the Pirates
Pants: Alice and the Pirates
Socks: SockDreams, same as his Cop Stocking socks lol
Boots: Women's riding boots from eBay XD
eeeEEeeeEEEe looking at these pictures as I'm previewing this entry makes my heart swell. I have the best boyfriend ever, and I can't wait to be hand in hand with him in all of my frilly adventures from now on.
I made a collage that I posted on Facebook in celebration of our 2 years together:
Oh, I also made a new dA so please add me!!! Here!!
Till next time babydolls!

Anime Los Angeles 2012
Hey guys!! It's been a while! Muuuch has happened since I updated last, including my turning 20 yesterday, but I thought I'd continue my extremely amateur extremely biased "con coverage" by telling you guys about ALA 2012.
Can I just say it's SO hard to get some sleep before a con? I slept over at my boyfriend's house Thursday night, and I just could not sleep at all. I got 3-4 hours of sleep and I felt every hour I couldn't sleep. It was horrible. So, I didn't do ALA Day 0, but from what I hear it's extremely uneventful anyways. Anyways...
Friday Our flight was scheduled at 10:45, but got delayed by a bit over an hour. The most annoying part was that Virgin America wouldn't tell us when we COULD board, or the new departure time. I did my extremely heavy hooker makeup at the airport, pink eyebrows and all, and I probably looked off my rocker. We taxied to the con since we already lost an hour of time and couldn't afford to wait for a shuttle. Chloe was already hookered out as trashy Roxy and I had to get ready. You guys have seen my Poison from Yaoi-Con, but this time around I made the make up more dragalicious, layered the wig, and Chloe and I matched accessories.
(So...about my Poison being posted on /cgl/...I ain't even mad. It's actually hilarious that they kept saying I look like a ladyboy hooker, because that was entirely the point. Right from the getgo I've posted in this very blog my Poison was going to be inspired by Omi Gibson's trashy hooker Poison. I'd have been infinitely more offended if they had said Chloe and I looked like upstanding citizens or maidens fair as virgin snow. My boyfriend also watched me layer on the contour powder for my cheekbones to look trannylicious, so me having a manface as Poison means, well, success. I find it funny no one said I had a manface as Kaine since I had softer makeup. /cgl/ needs to lrn2makeup. This wasn't even a serious cosplay from the getgo, I was out in the halls as Poison for like 2 hours. Oh wait, no fun allowed at cons).
It was amazing seeing everyone from SoCal again. I hadn't seen them since AX and I missed their crazy antics much more than a sane person should. I totally got to catch up with a lot of people on Friday! I love how chill and small ALA is because you can just hang out.
My adorable boyfriend borrowed Chloe's Cop Stocking accessories and was genderbent Cop Stocking. Forever Stocking! He's going to do this again too at Yaoi-Con 2012 with Jason as Cop Panty.
So Chloe and I slutted around outside the pooldeck for an hour or two and got mad hoverhands...again... and at one point there were 10 guys yelling at us on top of the Marriott's balcony saying super creeper things about marrying us and that we're the reason why ALA is the best con ever. Could not tell if drunk. And we noticed our boyfriends were missing... they got sick of getting no attention next to us and decided to show us that they could be just as sexy. Their photoshoot shot by our friend Ken will never ever see the light of day. This is where the drinking began. @_________@ It was 4 PM.
I remember little after this except a trip to Carl's JR where we all got Western Bacon Cheeseburgers and the most delicious crisscross fries ever. And Jason as Roxy. And Jan's super hot medic. And party in the lobby. And more pictures that can't see the light of day.
Sad news though...my camera got stolen. :( I'll replace it soon.
Saturday My boyfriend and I debuted Brother Nier and Kabuki Kaine today, we're still missing a lot of accessories and the weapons but oh wells. We'll have everything by Fanime. So, a total of 5 people recognized us that day, and it freaking made my LIFE to meet other Nier fans. Well, a few of them just said "omg Kaine!" and walked away, but later on in the evening this super sweet girl was fangirling over my boyfriend's Nier while he was across the pool deck and then she found me and then all three of us totally bonded over the epicness that is Nier. She was super amazing and totally made our weekend. <3 <3 <3 The best ever.
We did a photoshoot with the amazing Bui this day and did a lot more hall cosplay than Friday. Not as many pictures taken like Poison and Roxy, but I'm betting anything it was because my boyfriend looked fucking terrifying as Nier...like he'd torture you and wear your skin. I don't think photographers were up to creepin on me with him around lol. I'm really happy with how our makeup and wig styling came out, I'm really big on that. It was difficult posing without any weapons though. And, my boyfriend's boots, which were women's riding boots off of eBay, were too narrow for him and he had serious problems with walking with all of the ridiculous leg accessories on top of that. :( He got a really nasty blister on his foot, and at one point (after more Carl's JR...which didn't taste as good as when we were drinking lol) we had to hobble him back to our room and take a long breather since he couldn't walk anymore. Because of this, we missed Chloe's birthday surprise, which sounded amazing.
An enormous group of us had dinner at Champions, the bar and grill connected to the lobby. My boyfriend does the most ANNOYING THING EVER, because he always ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS says he's not hungry whenever I am, so he doesn't order anything, and then when I do he decides that he is hungry AND ENDS UP EATING HALF MY FOOD FFFFFF. This always happens, he's never hungry until he actually sees everyone else eating and then eats all of my food. >:|
I had to leave dinner early after I ate my.... 1/3rd of a delicious quesadilla (damn it Castor) to go get pretty for the joint birthday party. I had to completely wipe my face clean and start over on my makeup because my Kabuki Kaine makeup is too cosplay-ish, and with hair on top of that it took forever. And my mask was completely ghetto, it was a piece of 2$ lace at Joann's tied around my face hahahaha. By the time we got to our party, it was already bumpin and everyone looked fabulous and some had the best masks ever. And of course, we had the most classy bathroom bar ever.
We stuck around for a bit until Jason arrived and we went to go shoehorn him into my Kaine. O.M.G. How did he even fit? Best was when my boyfriend was lacing up his ass. The rest of the night consisted of trolling a ton of parties with Jason and his lapdances in tow, and then going to the official con Taco Party (which sucked balls because of security and uh lack of tacos), switching over to Matt's much better taco party, and then lobby partying once more. I'm also officially the most sloppy drunk ever because I had to have my manbitch Kevin hold my shoes the entire night.
Sunday We had the hotel room for Sunday night too, but it wasn't as fun as the previous days because everyone was clearing out and going home since a lot of them had class on Monday. Castor and I did a goth lolita coordinate, which I will show you when I get better pictures. We did a couple shoot with the ever so awesome Cabusi, and I'm really excited to see the result. Sunday was basically saying bye to everyone... it really sucks WonderCon got eaten by SoCal, because we won't see a lot of these people because of that until Fanime. :( Oh well. Amazing party times ahead. We had an after con parting lunch at Denny's (in which I was paranoid the entire time of getting hash browns on my dress...) and that was the last I saw of most of the Socal-ers! My boyfriend and I got changed and Chloe and Luke picked us up to go to Little Tokyo for amazing bacon donuts and dinner at this bar where we had the most amazing meal that weekend... Korean barbeque short ribs *Homer gurgle* It's been such a trial getting the 4 of us finally together since one person is always missing, but it finally happened and we finally all had noms together!! Success. Back to the hotel where it was a complete ghost town. We then went to a chill room party at Matt's (again) where they were making milkshakes with the most expensive bananas ever. 26$ room service bananas wtf. Then ridiculous tinychat, recruiting moar buff guys for Poison and Roxy army at Fanime, crashing early for early flight, and now I'm here and going to go back to sanding Black Rock Shooter armor. T___T Will make another entry about ALA with mostly pictures!

Why-Con 2011 and first YouTube video
So right after Yaoi-Con, I knew I should make an entry about my experience. So I sat in my leather chair in this very spot on this very page, typed in the title, and then...
nothing.
I didn't know what to say, lest I be seen as some kinda weirdo lush or something -____-
For those of you who are unfamiliar, Yaoi-Con is tiny. It's held in a hotel. Apparently, the hotel changed for this year and the patio area had a great ocean view that the cosplayers loved utilizing for photoshoots. However...if you're not a yaoi fangirl and you're not a fan of con-run panels, events, and the like...then you my good friend, have 5 options
a) get inebriated
b) screw around with friends
c) drink some more
d) gawk at the girls running around in 3 sizes too small corsets and matching lingerie
e) all of the above
I bet you can't guess what I chose. Yeaaahhhhh not much to do, so not much to say. I did have a really fun time though, but it's definitely one of those cons where the people make it awesome, not the con itself.
My Poison cosplay was mad scandalous, but I want to make it more ridiculous for Anime Los Angeles in January with a fake tramp stamp, a riding crop, and tons more accessories. (Chloe is going to be my Roxy. It's going to be hot.) I also need a way to stuff better, because my padding kept shifting around and looked a lot more obvious in some pictures over others lol. You'll see what I mean right about...now:
Linking from Facebook because I'm lazy (also, be forewarned I'm most likely tipsy in all of these pictures which may explain derpiness):
I'm also featured twice in this neat con coverage video!: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qR3IsoQbW_A&feature=channel_video_title
I really wish I stayed over at Y-Con for the entire weekend, now that it's leaked that it's going to be moving to SoCal next year. SoCal is taking all the cons! I also wish I stayed because others who had a hotel room seemed to have a ridiculous and downright sinful amount of fun, designating it the name Why-Con. But don't you worry, even with my day long stay at Y-Con, my strange experiences have definitely backed up the Why-Con name.
Oh! And like I've been meaning to for a million years, I finally got around to making a wannabe guru tutorial! Please watch, as it took me a billion years to figure out how2SonyVegas. ;___; The tutorial is how to do gyaru hair with clip in extensions, just like how I did my hair in my last post!

Gyaru journey part II
Yeah sooooo it's not that I didn't love the short two toned hair, it's just that it looked good for all of one week wtf. The ends of my hair on the brown side were turning grey due to having been bleached before. -____- It faded so quick that you couldn't even tell it was two toned anymore after a week, it just looked like a bad dye job. Mistake #1.

3 toned hair. Faded grey-brown, orange bangs, and blonde fml.
And then even though I drove myself crazy trying, I realized that I couldn't possibly get the crazy volume the short haired gyaru icons were capable of getting. This is because they still freaking have extensions in their short hair. Mistake #2.
And Mistake #3 should be obvious from the post debuting the two-toned hair. Vertical two-toned is just plain out of season. Honestly, 9 out of 10 times I will not care if something is out of season because I am 1) too lazy to keep up with trends 2) usually broke, but such a huge part of being gal is being a giant trend zombie. So what can you do? If the two toned hair had stayed as fabulous as the first pictures I took of it, then maybe it'd be a different story. But you live and you learn eh?
So without further ado, let me introduce my new horizontal two toned hair I did a week ago! I basically dyed my hair a very light level 5 brown from the bottom of my ears up, and then turned the ends golden blonde. This way, my pre-bleached ends won't soak up nasty colors from the brown dye. Convenient and trendy, no? I started the brown half pretty high up so it has "space" to grow out nicely. ^____^ I also bought 18" blonde extensions to play with, and dyed the set accordingly to match my real hair.

My hair still looks lovely even after a week of shampooing and such. The brown half is so lustrous and pretty, and the two-toned is so gradual but still gives a little something extra. A giant bonus is that my eyebrows match better hahahaha. It's very possible that the light brown will fade some into a dirty blonde, but my hair will still look pretty good...mostly intentional at least. And redoing roots will be very easy from now on!! KEEPING THIS FOR SURE! I'm super proud of how the extensions look too, I made the clip ins myself and a lot of people asked if I got the extensions professionally done. My extensions attempt before was terrible compared to this!
And of course, I HAD to try out curling my hair to get the classic big hair look. The downside to curling horizontal two-toned hair is that the two-toned aspect is a lot less prominent as opposed to when it's straight, but what girl doesn't love her curling iron?

(Sorry my eyebrows look like a hot mess, it was really hot today and my makeup was sweating off since I ran out of primer -__-)
I'm so happy I have extensions again, there's just something to be said about having foxy long hair hahaha.
Sorry for the short update, I'll be writing a post about my giant Dream V/Yumetenbo
order soon from Rakuten! The outfit that I'm wearing in the above camwhore pictures is actually from my order!
I still have a lot to learn about perfecting the gyaru style, but it's been an educational journey so far. I'm slowly getting better at the hair and make up!

Fantasy Sheep/Taobao wig haul~
(I know I've already reviewed Fantasy Sheep wigs here, but I thought I could be more in depth and now that I have my shiny new camera I actually have decent pictures this time around!)
So I made the mistake the last time around of wanting to order my wigs during Chinese New Year's. Yeaaaah that was a huge no-no. Seriously cosplaying folks, do not put off buying your wigs. They are incredibly important to making your cosplay look complete and not amateur, and for some reason I get a lot more easily frustrated styling and cutting wigs than I am with making armor. So yeah, there's my warning.
Anywho, this was my first time ordering from any Taobao shop using a shopping service and I must say, it went very smoothly. I used the ever so popular Taobao Spree. I've heard raves about them on egl foreveeeeer and I'm very glad even though they've gotten so popular that their service is still efficient and professional. Cici was my shopping agent, and I would always get a reply by the time I woke up the next morning when it came to changing my order around (I assume they check stock each time which explains the non-immediate replies). When I had simple questions, she would respond within hours. There was a bit of a language barrier that led to a few oopsies, but they were solved quickly and I wasn't in a rush so it was no bother to me. They emailed me immediately when my wigs arrived to their warehouse, and shipped them out a few hours later and were prompt to give me the EMS tracking number.
I ordered a total of 7 wigs from Fantasy Sheep's Taobao shop, as their eBay prices are quite ridiculous nowadays and I really loved the quality the last time around. 3 of them were for me, 2 of them for my boyfriend, 1 for my friend and 1 for my little sister's first cosplay. The 7 wigs and the shopping service fee added up to $112.20. Not too bad, I thought. Well, until I had to pay the EMS shipping fee of $61.55 lol. It killed me inside to pay a shipping price that was equal to half the actual cost of the wigs! So the total including shipping was 173.70. That is equal to just about 25$ per wig. Breaking it down, it definitely is a very fair deal for beautiful wigs, but I definitely wouldn't recommend using a shopping service and shipping EMS unless you buy a ton of wigs like me. Do a group order with friends to save a bit of cash!
I read on... a certain source...okay, /cgl/, that Fantasy Sheep has been shitty with their customer service and even the quality of their wigs lately so I was a bit nervous this time around. But, my worries were for naught because all the wigs were thick and beautiful and looked exactly like the stock images. I believe people are having troubles with their actual eBay shop, but it seems like they've ALWAYS had trouble keeping up with eBay orders. As for their Taobao, well, their wigs shipped within China to the TaobaoSpree warehouse within 3 days so the response seems immediate when it comes to Chinese customers.
Onto the goodies~~

This wig is for my boyfriend's Nier cosplay. I was a little wary of buying awig that was very close to being white, because a lot of white wigs tend to look very shiny. To my pleasant surprise, this wig turned out looking beautiful. The fibers are not pure white, thank goodness, but a pretty multidimensional very very light silver. I wouldn't call it light grey, as I think of grey as much more dull. It took me a while to pick this wig, as Fantasy Sheep stock pictures are notorious for not matching what you see in real life due to their use of studio lighting and flash photography. Generally, when browsing their shop you should take into account that the wigs appear lighter than they are. You can look in the "shadows" of the wigs for true color. As you an see, this wig appears much whiter in the stock pics. Anyways, this wig turned out to be really nice when it came to the cut and color. But then again, all FS wigs are pretty good at having the exact same style as their stock images. This will be perfect for Nier.
True to picture: 8/10 (looks lighter in stock images)
Thickness: 10/10
Color: 10/10 (...with my knowledge that the stock images are brighter)
Cut/style: 10/10
Fibers: 10/10

This is actually my little sister's wig for her first cosplay, Dead Master from Black Rock Shooter. (She's not in my BRS group or anything, she just really likes the character.) She had decided to go for the dark green wig for a more dimensional look as opposed to the black wig some cosplayers opt for. Anyways, this wig is very pretty. It's the perfect length to keep volume to the wig, as super long wigs are less voluminous due to the weight of the wig dragging it down. It's also super smooth and pretty. And my sister said the color turned out exactly like how she wanted. It's a pretty deep forest green color that appears darker in some lights, not much else to say. There's no interesting cut as it's supposed to be a plain base wig. Perfect for styling purposes due to the thickness.
True to picture: 9/10
Thickness: 10/10
Color: 10/10 (according to my sister)
Fibers: 10/10 (Very silky.)

Link: Wait wtf I can't find this wig in stock anymore. I think it's sold out or FS took it down!
Excuse how stringy the wig looks, this was after 24 hours of saturating it using oil sheen spray on it (for detangling purposes) and it was still not totally dry lol. I was the most excited about this wig because it's so pink and long and pretty!!! It's a gorgeous flattering milkshake pink color. It's also a basic long banged style which is perfect for doing heavy duty styling, but I don't plan to style it much if at all. This wig is super thick, and at 80 cm is actually quite a bit longer than what I plan to use it for. Even after spraying it down, it tangles very easily at the bottom unless I comb it out while wearing it every 5 minutes. :( It's worth it for the color and how pretty it looks, I suppose. But I'll definitely need to chop at it's length some...
True to picture: ffff can't compare now that it's sold out
Thickness: 10/10
Color: 10/10
Fibers: 8/10 The fibers are the same as the green wig, but there's a disadvantage with the length as the wig tangles so easily.

Link: Whaaaaa I can't find the stock link either. @______@ This is super weird!
Right out of the bag, I was a little disappointed because I was expecting this wig to be jet black with reference to the stock images. This is my wig for Kaine's alternate kabuki form from Nier Gestalt, by the way. Well, it turned out to be a natural "Asian" black, the kind of black that has natural brown fibers in flash and sunlight. It's fine though, the wig's flattering bob cut is nice enough that I can forgive half a shade of difference lol. My mom really likes how this wig looks on me and thinks it looks like a high end wig.
True to picture: 6/10 I don't care if I don't have the original link, I thought it was going to be jet black!
Thickness: 10/10
Color: 10/10
Cut/Style: 10/10
Fibers: 10/10 The fibers in this wig are a little different from the longer wigs. I can't really explain it, they're a bit "rougher" but in a very nice way that is great for styling.

Link: Okay I can't find the page for this either. This is some kind of conspiracy...
This wig is for my boyfriend's Kaito (ver BRS). Not much to say. I really like the cut effeminate J-Rocker cut and the true black color that Kaine's wig was supposed to be. ;_;
True to picture: ????/10
Thickness: 10/10
Color: 10/10
Cut/Style: 12/10 I love it.
Fibers: 10/10 Rougher fibers like the Kaine wig, but very nice.

Link: here
This wig is the base wig for my Insane Black Rock Shooter cosplay, it's actually officially a Kaito wig according to the link above lololol. But the actual BRS wig was sold out and we wanted to give Castor a longer wig. Not much to say here either besides that I like it haha. I like the wiggle room Fantasy Sheep gives in the bangs~~~
True to picture: 10/10
Thickness: 10/10
Color: 10/10
Cut/Style: 10/10
Fibers: 10/10 Fibers similar to the wigs we're using for Kaine and Kaito. Great for styling.

And one of the two 80 cm twintails. Not much to say here either...it's a twintail all right. Maybe I'm just getting lazy :P
So basically Fantasy Sheep wigs are god-tier and are amazingly thick with great cuts, but you should be careful with the colors and keep in mind that their stock images have studio lighting.
Anyways, if you've been following my blog as of lately, you might be wondering... why Alicia, what on Earth is that pretty pink wig for? Well, I decided to tack on a really really really lazy/gloriously tacky closet cosplay for Yaoi-Con coming up at the end of October because why the hell not? Waiting until ALA to cosplay again is wayyyyy too long. I also really needed a sort of throw on cosplay that won't take 40 minutes just to get into it AFTER the makeup, so I decided on doing the infamously controversial Poison from Final Fight. Super fun and easy!
Actually, to make it even more fun and flashy I decided that I'm going to use a bunch of trashy accessories to make the cosplay pop while being true to the character. So yes, pleaaaase don't complain that Poison doesn't wear fishnets or fingerless gloves when Y-Con rolls around. I know, haha.
I'm hoping I'll be half as hot as this:
Hummina hummina. I love the accessorizing.
Where was I going with this? Oh right, so I did a couple of makeup tests over the weekend for Poison and Kaine and well... #shameless

Kaine make up and wig test that I did yesterday. In hindsight I'm really disappointed with how the makeup turned out. I really need to do another test run because it doesn't look Asian vampy or modern Kabuki enough. ;______; But I like how the wig looks! I need to style the bob some more for a perfect coiffed look, but overall I like it!
And uh...now Poison... haha I got a bit too camerahappy, please forgive me and I hope your little sibling isn't in the room.

My first lucky pack! And Mitsuwa/Dolly Wink haul!
This is a post with an inordinate amount of pretty things!
(I haven't gotten my new camera yet, it was out at Best Buy so I ordered it there and it should be arriving very soon!)
J-Pop Summit was this past weekend, and I visited it on Saturday with my boyfriend. J-Pop Summit is held in Japan Town in San Francisco. Assorted booths lined down the street, which was closed off for the event. Nope, I totally didn't trek my way through assorted methods of public transportation (*shiver*) for food truck curry (ew) or to listen to the K-On! concert, I went to get a lucky pack at Baby, the Stars Shine Bright.
I didn't dress in lolita due to my lazy and the sweltering heat, so I don't have an interesting outfit snap for the day. I felt quite underdressed. There were a lot of gorgeous lolis with amazing coordinates, getting ready to enter the Baby fashion contest where the grand prize was a full coordinate. I was told the fashion contest was Circus themed, so you can imagine how intricate and over the top the coordinates were. My boyfriend and I didn't watch the fashion show, I wish I knew who won and I hope someone will update on egl. :)
Anyways, so in the morning after my little adventure with the public transportation system - in which the adventure had color commentary by my boyfriend, who described in detail how it was most likely that a homeless person has slept on, vomited, and pissed all over the seat we were on - we arrived at J-Town and got in line at about 10 AM. We were right behind a bunch of our friends, so we had a lot of fun talking about girly things and future events. A lucky pack list was passed down and my boyfriend signed his name XD
The Baby blog said they would pass out tickets at 10:30, but it was 11 when my boyfriend and I got our ticket. He was about to get 2 packs, one for the each of us just to either be a troll or hope he got a kodona coordinate in the Alice & the Pirates pack, but by the time we got our ticket there were only Gloomy Bear packs left. But a really sweet friend of mine, who I met at a cosplay picnic, decided to let me have her Baby pack ticket, knowing that was what I was going for. ;_____; I'm forever thankful~~~~
A bunch of us hung out in the New People building, preoccupying our time with the Nico Nico live stream until we could pick up our lucky packs from 12 to 1. Japanese neets are odd creatures... Anyways, we picked up our pack once 12 rolled around and we opened ours right then in the boutique. I'm really happy with what I got!!!! I didn't expect to get a print, much less a recent print. I just wanted to collect basics I don't have but I ended up with some really nice pieces that I love.
...Cue the spam of the lucky pack goodness!!
I got
- An OP with detachable sleeves
- Black knit cardigan
- Black x White cutsew
- Printed tights
- Wristcuffs
- Black x Whitemaxipad headdress
The super gorgeous OP I got!!! I was so excited when I opened it in the store, I love black x pink and I can't believe I got a recent print! I was a little uncertain if it was my style with the lace bib detailing, but when I put it on I fell in love. It's not eyepoppingly special compared to say, coveted Alice and the Pirates prints, but it's very classic Baby with it's understated sweetness. I believe the name is Kitten and Room of Sweets.
Black cardigan with heart detailing~~ so lovely! *____*
Black x White cutsew~ I'm getting a little attached to it, but I don't really do casual lolita or the old school so I might sell it. I still think it's very pretty!
Old school loli maxipad headband. XD It looks very cosplay-ish on me...oh dear... I actually love some old school lolita looks, but the lace on this is a bit much.
Excuse the odd positioning in the first picture! These are very thick and adorable tights, perfect for staying sweet during winter. I love them, and was pleasantly surprised I didn't get standard OTK's!
A pair of lace wristcuffs. My boyfriend wants to wear them for Yaoi-Con to spruce up his Stocking~~~ he'll be so legit with his Baby cuffs
Oh! When my boyfriend returned from Irvine, he came back with a lot of goodies from the Mitsuwa located there, where my favorite lolita/gyaru Christine works. She helped him pick out a bunch of stuff from the cosmetics section in Mitsuwa, mostly Dolly Wink stuffs since she knows me so well. XD Completely in love with everything she picked out for me, I'm so excited to start using all of it!
Dolly Wink get! I already had the eyeliner but shhhhh.
I had been eying this case for so long but couldn't justify paying 7$ for it trololol. I already filled it up with Dolly Wink No 1 eyelashes (I have so many because I like stacking them!) The smaller compartment is for lower lashes, and I have a bunch of the No 5 Baby Cute lashes that I wore for J-Pop Summit in it already!
Cream eyeshadow in Rainbow Crystal! Excited to start using this, I've never used a cream base before and it looks very pretty in the pan.
Eyebrow mascara/eyebrow pencil!!!! I've been meaning to get this since my hair is pretty damn light again, at least on one side. Packaging isn't as cute as other Japanese cosmetics, but I still fell in love only after one use! And Christine, I love the color you ended up choosing, it matches perfectly!
Dolly Wink lashes I had been eying! No 6 Baby Cute and No 2 Sweet Girly. The Baby Cute ones are so sweet looking and adorable on Tsubasa I could die. Makes me want to do sweet gal!
Dolly Wink eyeshadow palette in No 1, Sweet Dolly. ALSO HAVE BEEN EYING THIS. Christine watches me outside my window as I drool over stuff while browsing the web, I'm convinced. And don't you love how immaculate and diabetes inducing Japanese packaging is? Tsubasa could sell me used lottery tickets and I'd buy them if they were packaged as adorably! Sephora will now forever disappoint me with its boring grown-up western packaging.
You bet your frilly butt I'm going to make a TON of in depth reviews of these products these next few weeks!!!
